8th GRADE PROMOTION CELEBRATION

Due to scheduling conflicts with high school graduations, junior high schools will no longer be holding the traditional promotion ceremony at Handel Stadium. After careful consideration by a promotion committee made up of Lexington parents and staff, it was determined this year's celebration would be held on campus on Tuesday June 14, 2011. The celebration will be a student-centered and age-appropriate event, students only and will begin immediately following school on that day. The party will end at 5:30 p.m. Promotion certificates will be distributed on Wednesday during school.
Parents – Due to financial constraints, space limitations on campus and parking space concerns, the 10-11 promotion celebration will not include a “parent participation” component. We ask our families to celebrate their students’ successes privately.
